Sony Ericsson’s Live with Walkman will soon be available at Three, the UK network has confirmed, ahead of its release towards the end of this month.

Spotted on the network’s jam-packed Coming Soon page, the handset has been slapped with a ‘September’ release date, although there’s currently no details on the Live with Walkman’s pricing. Still, Sony Ericsson’s marketing the phone as a “cheap Android smartphone”, so it’s unlikely to fetch more than £30 per month.

Announced last month, the Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman is the company’s latest music-focussed smartphone. Along with the usual built-in Walkman player, the phone comes with: Qriocity music and video, a media discovery application, TrackID, and xLOUD technology for enhanced audio output.

The handset itself packs a speedy 1GHz processor under the hood, alongside Google’s Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS. There’s also a 3.2 (480 x 320) capacitive screen, a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera with HD video, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity, and up to 32GB of expandable memory.

Three has started selling the Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman, just two weeks after announcing its support for the handset.

It was predicted that the phone wouldn’t fetch more than £30 per month, but Three has gone and impressed even further. The Live with Walkman is available for free from just £15 per month, including a decent 100 minutes, 5000 texts and 500MB of mobile data. Bump this up to a mere £18 per month, and the phone will come equipped with all-you-can-eat-data – so you’ll never have to worry about your data allowance.

The phone’s also available on pay as you go for an affordable £129 upfront. Top this up with £15, and Three will treat you to 300 minutes, 3000 texts, and all-you-can-eat data for 30 days.

As its name suggests, the Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman is the company;s latest music-focussed handset. Alongside the usual built-in Sony Walkman music player, the phone comes with Sony’s Qriocity music and video services, a media discovery application, TrackID, and xLOUD technology for enhanced audio output.

There’s also a reasonable 1GHz processor under the hood, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS, a 3.2 (480 x 320) touchscreen, a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera with HD video, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity, and up to 32GB of expandable memory.
