Hi,
I have two Sony Ericsson V600 phones (both CID49 / RED).
The first one I got about a month ago, and I successfully flashed it with XS++ to firmware version R2AE001 using the following files:
Flash Main Firmware: K600_R2AE001_MAIN_EU_1_MI_RED49.mbn
Flash File System: K600_R2AE001_FS_EMEA_2_RED49.fbn
Customize File System: selected "Own custpack" and used the \own_custpack folder (with tpa folder inside) folder from K600i_CDA102375_2_R4A_Generic_EMEA_2.zip (downloaded from topsony back when it was available)
Also checked the option “Don’t upload SE WAP links”
The flashing went perfectly - the phone works fine, and there are no WAP links anywhere. You can see screenshots of this phone on the left side.
Later, I got another V600 and flashed it as well, but this time with the newer firmware version R2BA019, using the same custom pack and also checking “Don’t upload SE WAP links”.
However, I noticed that WAP links are still present in all folders (you can see one on the right side).
Also, with this newer firmware, the “PlayNow” icon appears in the main menu.
Then I tried flashing this second phone again using the older R2AE001 firmware (the same version as the first phone). The flashing was successful and the phone now has that firmware version (I can check the current version of firmware from programs like MyPhoneExplorer) - but the WAP links are still there, and the "PlayNow" icon remains in the main menu.
I also tried different firmware versions, but the WAP links are always there.
Does anyone know how I can remove these WAP links?
Would flashing through Omnius maybe fix this? (I’ve recently heard about it but never used it before.)
