Sony Ericsson wraz z Umbro stworzyli film promujący pod tytułem "po raz pierwszy, gra video z prawdziwymi graczami”. Całość wygląda dość ciekawie, i jak zawsze w przypadku Xperii PLAY innowacyjnie i zaskakująco. Pod filmem oryginalny opis filmu.

Two customised Xperia PLAY handsets were used to control a game of 5-a-side football. The Xperia PLAY was used to send voice commands (strike, tackle, cross, dribble, slide, pass) to real players who were wearing special wireless headsets. Kasabian’s front-man Tom Meighan took on England star Darren Bent in the match and there’s a full video of their antics below. It all seems a lot of fun, although we can’t see this taking off anytime soon! The promotion was to celebrate Kasabian ‘s new album Velociraptor! There’s only one football game on the Xperia PLAY at the moment (PES 2012 Pro Evolution Soccer), however FIFA 12 (a timed exclusive) and Real Football 12 will be landing in December.
