Xperia Active arrives on Telecom New Zealand

New Zealand buyers can today celebrate the arrival of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Active handset in the country. Telecom New Zealand have signed a deal with Sony Ericsson which sees the sporty Xperia launched on their network exclusively.

From a dust and waterproof casing to a scratch resistant screen, the Active is made for those with sports and activity in mind. Included on the handset are heart rate monitors, fitness and sports apps and built in GPS. The touchscreen even works with wet fingers, if thats a feature you would find useful!

Pricing is set at NZ$399 (989 PLN! 1 NZD = 2,48 PLN data from 13.10.2011) on an open plan however, Telecom New Zealand have a special limited time offer ongoing, in association with Billabong where by buyers can receive NZ$50 off the price of the Xperia Active if they have purchased NZ$30 worth of Billabong products from Amazon. Billabong have also teamed up with Telecom New Zealand to offer two additional back covers for the handset in Billabong designs. The Active also comes with a standard matt black back cover.

Buyers who purchase an Xperia Active through Telecom New Zealand will also be eligible to win a surfing themed contest, with entry to the Billabong Pro Surf contest in Whangamata up for grabs along with other prizes.
